Heart Surgeon quits Practice to study Cannabis
Dr. David Allen Is A Leader Called Upon By Other Leaders To Expose The Miraculous Discoveries “Happening Now” In Cannabis Science
Who Is Dr. David Allen & Why Might He Be An International Authority In Cannabinoid Science?
After 30 years as a Board Certified (general and heart) surgeon, Dr. David Allen made a radical and life-changing decision.
From the age of 17, he consumed cannabis virtually every day. He didn’t know at the time, but his first “very special” experience with cannabis would soon lead him to an early retirement from heart surgery.
Once retired, he went into studying cannabis, full time, at the International Cannabinoid Research Society (ICRS). His official title is Cannabinoid Research Scientist.
With a remarkable title like that, we now move forward to answer the following questions:
- Understanding The Elementary Basics Of The Endocannabinoid System (ECS)
- Why don’t doctors know the truth about cannabis or the endocannabinoid system?
- What Does Cannabis Have To Do With The Endocannabinoid System?
- Should Emergency Situations (Heart Attack Or Stroke) Start With Consuming Cannabis?
- Who Can Currently Legally Purchase Cannabis?
- Can You Make Direct Contact With Dr. David Allen If You Have More Specific Questions About Cannabis Or CBD
Understanding The Elementary Basics Of The Endocannabinoid System (ECS)
When the endocannabinoid system (ECS) was first discovered, in the early 90’s, doctors didn’t understand the significance. They went on to discover the ECS performs “miraculous functions” in the body. Dr. Allen says, “The endocannabinoid system handles homeostasis. It is a chemical system, not electrical”
What does homeostasis mean?
Homeostasis is the body’s ability to maintain itself and function in proper environments. Dr. Allen says that is it CRITICALLY important that future doctors understand the specific control mechanisms of the ECS. This control is important because Dr. Allen says, we will save more lives than are currently saved by surgery.
This system is SO important that if you were to “block” the endocannabinoid system, you can prevent sperm from entering the ovum. Through blocking the ECS you can literally prevent impregnation. Thus highlighting its extreme importance in the propagation of our species into the distant future generations and beyond.
Why Don’t Doctors Know The Truth About Cannabis Or The Endocannabinoid System?
Like everyone else, Dr. Allen admits that he didn’t really know the widespread applications of CBD. His basic understanding was that cannabis made you relax and feel good. It wasn’t until he achieved a high level “sophistication” that he started to understand. He went on to understand the pathophysiology (abnormal body function, due to disease or injury) and the mechanisms for how cannabis works and took action.
Early on, he performed a quick study to see how many medical schools were teaching future doctors about the endocannabinoid system (ECS). His study involved him calling all 157 medical schools, that exist in the United States, and asking the following questions:
- Do you have a director of ECS sciences?
- Is there an endocannabinoid department?
- Are there any organized courses specific to the ECS?
- How many times do you mention the ECS in any ancillary courses? (Courses like pathophysiology, pharmacology, or neuroanatomy).
What Dr. Allen found in this study were that no medical schools had a department or a director of endocannabinoid sciences. There were no organized courses that taught med students about the ECS. And. Only 13% of medical schools even mention the endocannabinoid system. Not knowing about the ECS is like your doctor not knowing there’s a circulatory or nervous system.
According to Dr. Allen, doctors graduating this year will not be knowledgeable about the ECS. In the same breath, he goes on to say the ECS is, “a control system that controls everything.”
What Does Cannabis Have To Do With The Endocannabinoid System?
Cannabis is a powerful antioxidant and works by stimulating cannabinoid receptors. Cannabinoid receptors are present in every cell of the human body. Thus making its anti-oxidation effects that much more powerful.
Being a powerful antioxidant means cannabis “scavenges” for oxygen free radicals that cause oxidation. If your cells become oxidized they can produce free radicals. Free radicals are a toxic byproduct of oxygen getting used by the body. These free radicals lead to a chain reaction that damage living cells. The damaging of living tissues, by free radicals, is a process called oxidative stress.
Dr. Allen quotes studies where they use oxidative methods to “try” and kill pancreas cells. When they use cannabinoids, while trying to kill them through oxidation, it protects the cells. This means, through “just smoking” cannabis, you can decrease the incidences of diabetes by 66 percent. And if you eat cannabis, in its raw form, you may be able to decrease diabetes even more effectively.
When you consume cannabis, you’ve magnified your body’s natural ability to heal itself. According to Dr. Allen, every method of consuming cannabis is medicinal. He expands by saying cannabis is virtually the key of life to the mythical Fountain Of Youth because it stops oxidation from occurring in cells. Many modern diseases, in the future, will simply be defects in either the creation or the decay of the endocannabinoids your body makes.
Should Emergency Situations (Heart Attack Or Stroke) Start With Consuming Cannabis?
Dr. Allen offered no hesitation when he provides doctors orders for emergency situations. If you are having symptoms of a stroke or heart attack, Dr. Allen personally recommends cannabis. By consuming cannabis, preferably high in CBD, you can potentially save your life.
Dr. Allen says the cannabis patent the US government owns, 6630507, claims cannabis decreases the size of a stroke by 50 percent. What’s remarkable about this is there are NO OTHER chemicals that can even decrease a stroke by 2 percent.
Cannabinoids promote neurogenesis (creation of new brain cells) and Dr. Allen says if any of his family ever had a stroke, he would get as much CBD in them as he could. At least one gram.
If you are at high risk for stroke, there’s ample evidence CBD can prevent a stroke from occurring.
